I paid my electric bill at the bank! Yay. Set up automatic debit so I don’t have to worry about it going forward.
Our lovely banca toscana however has moved to the strip mall, which is near the entrance to town, no longer on the cute main street. it’s only a couple minutes’ walk to the mall from centro but still… now it’s not so convenient to go the bank, then to the little grocery store, then to Mi Bar for a caffe, then to Mietta’s hardware store, then to the local olive oil and wine store… i hate this suburbanization of the world and it’s very sad that it’s happening even here in this tiny medieval village.
I met the plumber today also who explained how the hot water and heat were interconnected and found that the gas powered boiler is not to code (can’t be in an enclosed unventilated basement) and that the pump on the woodburning stove boiler is broken. Hence the very loud noise, and the constantly flowing water outside. So we need some repairs and renovation. Fun!
