i loved firefox when i first discovered it... i put up with its beta quirkiness on some sites, figuring they were just poorly coded sites... i joyfully disabled java completely since it couldn't handle it and i was happy to be free from any site that needed a java applet to display an annoying animated graphic. i even came to terms with it not being able to parse certain types of asp objects and found workarounds for its deficiencies. but a memory leak that has gotten worse with every new release and increasingly frequent crashing i can't live with. i won't go back to IE as my default and i'd rather use a mac than install netscape again. maybe it's time to give opera another try... there must be something else out there???

Often the process won’t even die after all windows are closed if leakage is bad or Acrobat has been used. (Acrobat Reader has its own problems)I suppose it is a counter to me leaving 50 tabs open all the time.
