phragmentation

so i went out on a limb and answered a CL ad in Paris. she was nice, but I was 10 minutes late (computer crashed while i was in the middle of doing work, i stressed a bit). still, my biggest hatred is having to wait around with nothing to do, exposed to the world, so it wasn't like i was planning on being early anyway. turns out Metro St Paul is a popular meeting spot for single women. and most of them had long red hair, which is the only clue I had to go on for her (but i had sent her a link to photos of me). turns out though, at 10:10 pm her hair was looking more blond than red. so i circle the entrance and stop at a suitable resting place in view of all the waiting girls. one seems to stand out as possibly her, looking not as parisian, and we nod at each other. i walk over and yes indeed it is her. i apologize for being late, and she mentions she was about to ask another women if she was me, and that woman notices her glance and walks over to us. Hmm. Well, now we're a threesome and the other woman actually seems a bit crazy. the CL girl has a british accent, although she said she was from So.Cal. She invites this other woman (who's french and her hair is definitely red) out with us. I'm wondering if she set this up with the crazy woman because she starts in on "interviewing" me. Ok, I'm happy to answer questions. We go to a little cafe and order a carafe of wine, one red and one white. I end up drinking an entire carafe myself because the french woman says she shouldn't drink... in fact, she seemed drunk already, and the CL woman kept moving away from her. I have to laugh inside because it seems she invited her just to get at me for being late. Or just because she was being nice... but then later when the woman went out to smoke she said normally she'd take me home but what to do with #3? I told her that in fact i have an early train (i do) and i still have work to do (yes, i do), so i was going to need to cut out early anyway, and i was really happy to have met her and we should get together again next week. i mean, despite the weirdness of this other woman, and the CL girl's apparent nervousness, i did find her interesting and sent her a msg tonight with my local number so she could get in touch with me.
